CBD, HABIT STACKING & COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY FOR WELL-BEING

It’s been a few months since I started taking Dragonfly Botanicals CBD on a regular basis. It’s been an interesting experience, so I wanted to document what it has been like for those of you who are interested in learning more. Certainly, some of you will read this from the sidelines, curious but never trying. Others may feel inspired to give it a try. Regardless of where you stand, I am here to share my experience, what I’ve felt, and what I’ve taken away from the past few months, and at the very least— pique your curiosity. Back story: many of you know I have had my own struggles with feeling emotionally balanced. I do feel like I have a pretty good handle on things now, but ever so often I just start to feel “off”. To improve my emotional well-being and take the edge off the impact of daily stress, I like to experiment. So, what are those things?

#1 Daily movement snacks (getting up and moving my body for 3-5 minutes every hour)

#2 Drinking at least 48 oz of water every day (purified!)

#3 Making sure I step outside and expose my face to the sunlight at least once a day (preferably in the morning)

One of the things I love about all these routines is that on their own they don’t carry much weight. But when done intentionally, they have the ability to really help you relax, improve emotional well-being, feel better when you are having a bad day, and just feel emotionally and physically balanced.

 

Taking it one step further, when you pair these healthy habits with a smidge of cognitive behavior therapy and other mindfulness activities you start to become aware of how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected; it brings a new level of mental clarity to your overall life experience.

 

When I take CBD at night, and when I go out of my way to intentionally wind my mind and body down in a natural way (not drinking alcohol, staying away from my phone, and doing nighttime stretches) I feel more relaxed and I sleep soundly.
